Dear Colleagues and friends,
It is my privilege and honor to welcome You on behalf of the Society of Coloproctology of Yugoslavia and invite You to participate on our Symposium. We started at 1998. with persistent and successful organization of these biannual meetings. They were always well visited with a huge number of participants from many,
not only surrounding countries.
This year’s International Coloproctology Symposium is taking place for the ninth time on October 9th - 11th 2014 at Sava Congress Center in Belgrade. Like the previous one, this meeting implies a very high scientific and technical level and deals with a range of ongoing issues and dilemmas in our profession, covering them in eight sessions. Particularly precious is the contribution given by the esteemed and internationally and professionally renowned selected speakers. Long list of exquisite invited lecturers, as always, and outstanding topics guarantee a high scientific level of forthcoming meeting. Along with the sessions referred to above, the one entitled: “FROM GEN TO MET” deserves to be particularly pointed out as it is a high-quality compilation of basic science and applied clinical medicine. Also deserving attention are the highly interesting “CONSULTANT CORNER” and the ever popular VIDEO sessions. The symposium is also an opportunity to grant the Belgrade University School of Medicine Visiting Professor title to our colleagues from UK: ROBIN PHILLIPS and NAJIB HABOUBI, and hear their inaugural speeches.
During the symposium, awards are bestowed on three selected posters and the best oral presentation.
We are also very grateful to pharmaceutical companies and our friends who have been helping the organization and realization of these events during these 16 years. Hereby we would like to thank them for all the support.
Our capital Belgrade with its unique location on the confluence of two big rivers – Danube and Sava – offers numerous places for site seeing, fun and pleasure and its inhabitants are very friendly and cordial.
